Paris by night: lights, bars and nightlife

Paris by night with the JARI community

Where to see the lights, where to go out, how to get home: ask the community and JARI pros.

The lights

Paris lights up at nightfall. Don’t miss the Eiffel Tower sparkle (5 min at the start of every hour), the Champs-Élysées, the gilded Pont Alexandre III, and the Opéra Garnier. A Seine cruise at night links it all together smoothly.

Going out like a local

The lively bars of Oberkampf and Belleville (East Paris), the cocktails of the Butte-aux-Cailles, and rooftops (La Bellevilloise). For a legendary cabaret: the Moulin Rouge in Pigalle.

Evening culture

Many museums have late openings (Louvre on Fridays, Orsay on Thursdays) — fewer people and a magical mood (museums).

JARI tip

The métro runs until ≈1:15am (2:15am at weekends); after that, it’s the Noctilien (night buses) or a ride-hail. Keep your phone in a closed pocket, stay in lively areas, and take taxis/ride-hails to get home late.
